If your current setup requires you to manually push in your door to lock or unlock, you will need to have that addressed before any automatic door lock product will work reliably for you. They do provide some recommendations for what may work for your situation, but there are two options: 1. Have a repairman adjust your door 2. Purchase a tapered replacement bolt from a hardware store. The end of the bolt that comes out will be tapered to catch the opening in the frame and essentially help close the door fully. Depending on how much force your door requires, this may or may not be a viable option.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Deadbolt hast to be unobstructed when it closes. I had to recenter my deadbolt into the doorjamb for it to work properly. If it is a tight fit it will wear down the batteries fairly quick.

Please try again later.My deadbolt closes easier if I push on the door slightly but it will close without pushing on it it just makes contact with the edge of the strike plate first then it pulls in. I made it this way on purpose so that the gasket would compress a little bit. It's a bit of a bummer as if I got a smart lock I would want to have it re-keyed to match my current keys before installing but I won't know if it's going to work with my strike plate until I install it. Then if it doesn't work I can't return it to the store with a re-keyed and not matching the keys that came with it.....

Or if you really need to push to lock the door, sadly, there is no magic monkey that will hop out and push the door so the auto lock feature will work. If you do it manually, well then no big deal, but what's the point of getting this lock then. I would look to fix your door frame issue first before spending 250 bucks on this silly lock.
