• No, it’s not design to work with that type of lock. Only works with bolt locks

• The lock connects to the deadbolt. It's basically a motor on the back side that replaces the turn handle of the deadbolt. The front (outside) of the lock is usually a keyhole. So if your latch is connected to the deadbolt and it is a turn mechanism it will work. I think what you are describing though is not a deadbolt, but rather the door handle lock which this is not made to replace.
