No. Your child can turn the august lock just as easy as a regular dead bolt lock can be turned.

No, it won't child proof the door. Anyone that can turn the lock, can open the lock from the inside. The best it will do is send a notification to your phone when someone unlocks the door. It's a great product, and I would buy it again, but it will not work for what you are wanting to do.

No, it still turns to the left and right very easily. For your situation I would recommend adding those sliding locks so that your toddler won’t be able to reach it.
