The lock uses the app to determine location. If you have your phone in the kitchen and you attempt to go in and out of the door you would need to manually unlock the door and use your existing house key to unlock the smart lock (if you have auto lock enabled)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can put it on auto lock and set a timer before August automatically locks itself. So everytime you close the door it will automatically lock and when you leave you don't have to worry about locking the door if you have a short timer. I have mine for 1 minute so I can feel confident that my place is locked once I leave.
