A:AnswerIf you install the optional number keypad and you set up a code, you could use that.If you could somehow contact somebody who has WiFi access to the lock they could do it remotely. Otherwise it would be no different than what you would have done before you installed the unit and forgot/lost your key.
A:AnswerThere are no fees with the app. This lock does not replace the internals of your current deadbolt. It is only on the inside of the house. You continue to use your current or future key. These come with adapters so if you choose to change from (for example) kwikset to shlage you can and this august stuff will still work. These are very safe especially if used through homekit
