It should. It’s also ajustable to a 3 gallon jug.

A 5 gallon jug is a 5 gallon jug. Just take the plastic cap off and it should be good.

yes. I'd bought this for an elderly relative and she absolutely loves this dispenser! we have used both 5 gallon and 3 gallon jugs. 100% recommend.
