“Do you know if you MUST have internet for usage? If the company were to go out of business would I be able to put this program on another PC and still use it? My PC died and the company that supported my book went out of business. Information gone.”

one never knows but as a safe guard its always best to back up all cook book creations to your own PC (IE) network. use my cloud not WD my notebook if you want to access your program from outside your network

Since it doesn't come with any recipes, you may want to make a copy of what you ever you put into it and store it on a thumb drive. I'm guessing you would need an internet connection to import recipes from the vendors they recommend in the program.
