• No it is not based on an open source from LibreOffice. It provides better document compatibility with Microsoft Office and it is faster/ smaller than LibreOffice. This is proprietary alternative office suite design in Germany. You can download trial version here: http://www.binarynow.com/download/

• Hi dayo! No it is not just an "implementation of LibreOffice". SoftMaker Office suite is a collection of TextMaker (word), PlanMaker (spreadsheets), and Presentation program. It is a cross-platform solution which is available for Linux, Windows, and macOS. Thanks-m
