Questionthe resolution is real bad is there any way to make it better or will another camera connect to the wire

- Answer Usually this is caused by a poor connection between the camera's transceiver and the GPS' receiver (these are the little boxes on each respective cord). If the resolution is poor you might try moving the location of the transceiver (located on the wire attached to the backup camera) so that it can get a better signal/connection with the receiver on the GPS. Also try moving the GPS' receiver (on the GPS power cord) so that it can make a better connection with the camera's box. I don't think there are any other cameras that can connect to the GPS' receiver.

- Answer No, the Garmin compatible backup camera GPSs are not compatible with any other manufactures wireless back-up camera. It is however compatible with the Garmin Bc 30 Wireless Back-up Camera (part number 010-12242-10). Thanks, James

- Answer No, the Bc 30 Wireless Back-up Camera is not compatible with the dēzl™ 560. The dēzl™ 560 is only compatible third-Party wired backup cameras that are NTSC and PAL format.

- Answer The BC 30 camera has an IPX7 water rating, which means it is resistant to splashes, rain, snow, or incidental exposure. Physical contact with high-pressure water or fast-moving brushes could potentially damage the camera, however, so to be safe, it is best to avoid taking the camera through a car wash. QuestionSince this camera will be exposed to the elements (Wisconsin), would the extended warranty be advised? Has anyone had any issues?

- Answer Boise, I see no reason to mount the unit or the transmitter outside....See my previous answer.......I mounted the BC30 and its transmitter inside. The camera lens is against a rear window and the transmitter is facing the GPS. If the purpose is to see objects right at your bumper level, this configuration may not work however.

- Answer I mounted the camera on the top middle of the license plate. The transmitter mounted behind the left rear wheel, taped to the inside of the fender.

- Answer The tech that installed both of my cameras told me they can be installed on any vehicle. I had one installed on my Ram pickup and one installed on my RV camper. Both work fine and I can easily switch between the cameras. The camera manufacture informed me the camera can be hooked up so that it can work full time or only when I put my vehicle in reverse. I chose reverse only.

- Answer Check the menu on your Nuvi, there will be an option there for back up camera. chances are it will not if its older. another way to know is if you go to your Nuvi update program, if you see a option to buy the camera on that device, it will work. I have 2 newer model 2597's, and 2 model 2555's for our families cars. The 2555's can't be more than 3 years old and you cannot use the back up camera on them, but they do work on the 2597's.
