“Are these refurbished by manufacturer? or by 3rd party? The specific question is do we know if it comes with a brand new battery? or refurbished hardware with old used battery inside?”

NOW THAT DEPENDS. I HAVE HAD MINES FOR OVER A YEAR AND IT IS ALWAYS ONE EAR THAT GOES OUT! I GOT TWO IN CASE IT HAPPENED AND IT DID AND NOW I HAVE ONE BUT I GOT MY AIRPOD PROS JUST IN CASE.

Apparently GeekSquad? Less than a year and the ones I bought my son in 4/2021 just died. GS warranty is only 90 days apparently....
