This creates a cool pocket between you and your comforter. Without it, you will have the air blowing directly on your body…which might not be comfortable for an entire night.

If you are in a bed by yourself or you and your partner have the same temperature needs, yes, you can use it without the sheet. If you and your partner have different temperature needs in the same bed, you can use the sheet and two systems to control two separate comfort zones in the same bed or a sheet and one system to have only one BedJet zone in a shared bed.
