• Depends on your needs. Looking to charge the devices? Yes, you would be best to have a powered hub. Connecting to the desktop/laptop so that you can transfer data to and from them, absolutely it will work. With the iPhone 6 ensure that you are using an approved cable as many aftermarket cables will sometimes charge but often fail on data transfer.

• No, it provides an Ethernet to standard USB port connection. iPhones and have different USB connector ports.
