“I have had one of these routers to have WiFi for a few years. Last few months I have had to plug and unplug this router from my modem to reestablish my WiFi. Is the router going bad and a new one is needed or is something else going on?”

It has been my experience that having to reset or reboot the router more and more often is a good sign that it is time to start shopping for a new one.
