The only problem is that they also have a 2.4 Ghz cordless phone system and the N150 is causing interference with cordless handsets. I know that the N600 is dual band and also operates on the 5 Ghz range. With the N600 can the 2.4Ghz frequency be turned off so that it doesn't cause the interference with the cordless phones?”

Yes, you have to log in to your router and change the settings there. Be sure that their computers can pick up the 5GHz signal though. Not all of them can!
