The Belkin N600 router does not have a built in modem so yes you will need your current ISP supplied modem. We do not manufacture any modem routers. Regards, Belkin Support

The router you purchased takes the data and sends it over the airwaves to your computer(s). You need both the modem and router. Some ISPs will provide you with a single unit that has both a modem and wireless router built in. Check to see what exactly you have but in either case, you will still need a modem in addition to your N600 router.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Hambone, Yes, you will still need your modem. I am assuming your modem is not wireless, and that is why you bought your Belkin. You will need to run the Ethernet cable from your modem to your Belkin, so that it will work properly.
