• I wouldn't recommend it. The instructions say plain seeds in the popper. But since it is so cheap you could try and if it spoils buy a replacement i guess.

• You can ONLY place dry popcorn into the machine, and nothing else. The cup used to measure the popcorn may also be used to warm butter on the top of the popcorn maker, but the butter itself cannot be placed inside the popcorn popper.
