A:Answer Don’t think it’s stainless—metal feels much thinner. I’m trying to remember to regularly wipe down on outside to stave off rust, since we’re a mile from ocean. Last toaster oven, not this brand, had big spot where black paint was peeling off the outside top, with rust underneath.
