The cord is a bit on the short side and comes out from the side. The outer sides do not get hot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The electrical cord is located towards the front right corner of the Bellow toaster. You can slide the cord into two small plastic slots underneath the toaster which forces the cord to go towards the back of the toaster. The negative about this feature is that it shortens the cord even more.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The electrical cord is a tiny bit over 9 inches. It is located in the front right corner of the toaster (which makes no logical sense). It is NOT a retractable cord. The exterior of the toaster does not get hot, and stays cool to the touch.
