Is the basket stainless steel? Or plastic? null

It is plastic. In fact, the whole coffee maker is made of plastic, except for a small portion of the exterior where you can see.

Plastic! The whole thing is plastic! Calling this thing stainless steel is false advertising. There is a little stainless steel looking panel around the filter area I wouldn't doubt if it's plastic too I'll take a file to it later and let you know.
