Is the tea infuser removable? null

Yes. But it is more or less a permanent modification. I did it since I won't use the kettle for brewing, The infuser is removable by unscrewing the rod from the smaller portion of the lid. I used plyers to hold the rod while I twisted the lid. You will need to find an approximately 1" screw to replace the rod so that the top of the lid attaches back on to the larger portion of the lid.
