The sound is likely due to the swift heating process causing the metal to expand from room temp to its boiling temp in under a min. Unless you have a faulty machine that has a different issue which I can’t imagine as it’s mechanical parts a few. I do not perceive this kettle to be louder than past models I’ve owned or seen used by others. It’s likely the normal operational sound and volume shared by similar brands of the same product. Feel free to find someone you know who owns a kettle of any brand for on sight comparison:)
