“When I use the boil setting, the water just keeps boiling and doesnt stop. This is without hitting the keep warm button. Is this normal?”

Only for a short period after the product ceases its completion beeping. The water itself has reached the desired temperature at that point and while the base plate shuts off automatically, it is still technically the same temp as the water so it will continue to appear to boil for around a min. If it is boiling for several minutes or continuously until unplugged then there is a problem and you should return or exchange it… or if you don’t mind just unplug it after use. (I myself would return it in case it isn’t properly regulating temperature as you could achieve the same function with a proper pot or pan which defeats the purpose of the product)
