“At the 1.2 L mark it says TEA MAX. What does that mean? I was not able to find anything about it in the instruction book.”

It is a suggestion requesting that the specific quantity limit not be exceeded or the product will likely begin to malfunction or cease function entirely. Exceeding water level limit results in product boiling water overages out of front spout on to product buttons, counter, and or people standing near product.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When making tea, you hold the tea above that line , until the water is boiling and then you emerge the the tea in the boiling water. Some types of tea you only emerge them into the hot boiling water to get the best result.
