We clean ours with hot soapy water no more than once a week. Vinegar has worked great to rEmove the scaling caused by our hard water. We probably should “de-scale” more often but we don’t. If we let it go too long I have used a little Barkeepers Friend powder, a sponge, and a little elbow grease to bring it back to new. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use a 3/4 cups of water and vinegar, so 1-1/2 cup of 50/50 mix. Let it sit for an hour or longer. Then rinse, and fill kettle and bring to a boil. Dump water and rinse and ready for use after that.
