Yes, but really no need to turn while cooking because unit is timed to cook on both sides. When the unit is fully heated the lights on the front will light up (there is a light for side 1 & side 2) and a short audible alarm will sound. You’ll open side 1 and add the batter, turn to side 2 and add batter. The unit should have side 2 showing on top at this point. When waffles are done the light will go out separately for each side along with an audible alarm for each side. Rotate to side 1 to take out waffle from side and wait until side 2 is done the repeat. Once lights light up again you can repeat to add more batter. *unit only turns one way so no need to worry about accidentally turning wrong way
