A:AnswerHello Amanda, hopefully I can be of assistance and get this awesome waffle maker working for you.
First things first (not saying you did but covering all bases)
-Do Not add any non-stick spray, oil and/or butter to the maker
If any non-stick product is added the waffles will stick every time because it will become sticky on the plates.
Second problematic issue
- Always turn unit to max heat when pre-heating
- Once unit is pre-heated then turn knob to desired setting/number
- Add batter, turn, add batter and wait until done
- Once done and alarm beeps, a fork is best to grab edge of waffle
- Waffle will pull right out
Third problematic issue
- Batter can be a little finicky and easy to not have correct
- Boxed pancake batters (even the ones that say waffles) have to sit and thicken up before using (usually 15-20 minutes). The boxed pancake/waffle mix is really for pancakes and is much thinner. Thin batter will stick every time. Make homemade batter if possible and if not then buy actual waffle mix.
- Do not add oil to batter and do not follow batter instructions to oil the maker (as 90% says you should).
If you added oils to batter and/or anything of non-stick to the unit then it is not ever going to work correctly going forward. Literally it will never work like it’s supposed to. Best option is to return the unit for a replacement. Most stores are ok with you mentioning it was defective. Frankly it is defective at that point.
Lastly. If a mix is used, purchase a mix that uses milk NOT WATER. You must use oil in the water mixes because of the thickness required. The milk required mixes use no oil because the milk is the cohesiveness addition.
I promise once you get the maker working smoothly it is worth every ounce of the learning curve and time you will have spent.

A:AnswerYes, but really no need to turn while cooking because unit is timed to cook on both sides.
When the unit is fully heated the lights on the front will light up (there is a light for side 1 & side 2) and a short audible alarm will sound. You’ll open side 1 and add the batter, turn to side 2 and add batter. The unit should have side 2 showing on top at this point. When waffles are done the light will go out separately for each side along with an audible alarm for each side. Rotate to side 1 to take out waffle from side and wait until side 2 is done the repeat. Once lights light up again you can repeat to add more batter.
*unit only turns one way so no need to worry about accidentally turning wrong way
A:AnswerThe one we got measures to about 3/4 cups. The cup is clear plastic and has it's own styrofoam compartment, so it's super easy to miss. Almost three ours away.
A:AnswerI'm not sure what the plates are made of but I set it on the highest setting and let the smell cook off. I have not had a problem with the smell since.

A:AnswerThey’re pretty thick! I personally have a really big appetite. So two waffles are good enough for me. If you use the cup it comes with then you’ll have a nice restaurant sized waffle! They can be really fluffy and soft or nice and crispy depending on how high you have the cook time for.
A:AnswerYes, using this with a 20A receptacle and 20A breaker is the optimal. In a kitchen, the optimal is that every receptacle needs to be a separate circuit using a 20A breaker.
A:Answer...the beeping you hear is the cash flying out of your wallet...your product, like all other Bella products, will fail at the 6 month mark....you will find out there are no exchanges from them either.
