• Yes, I have a 65" Samsung LCD on mine and it holds it just fine. Just be prepared to not use the top shelf, otherwise your view of the TV will be blocked.

• I would be wary of doing this as we decided to place ours on the glass as a precaution. Space is very tight with the 65 inch and we did not trust the stand to gold properly. If you've already done it, hope it is working well!
