Yes it need some assembly. Screws and allen wrench comes with tv stand. Comes with instructions and it took me one and a half hours to build. You’ll love the stand once it is built.

Yes. It comes in a rather large box, but as long as you read the directions you will be fine. It took me 30 minutes from opening the box to having the tv hung on the mount ready to run cables.
