I have the V6 model but I'm fairly sure they will be similar. In my personal experience X band is usually a false alarm (stoplight, store front, etc.). K Band can be a false alarm or a police officer (usually false but not always). Ka Band is 95% a cop and 5% of the time it could be a warning sign on the Highway. Laser = Same story as Ka Band. I've owned the V6 for about 5 or 6 years and I haven't been stopped for speeding since then. However, even with this device you still have to use common sense. If you're going thru an area that you know is a "Speed Trap" don't speed. Many cops know that people have these and won't turn their radar on until they see someone coming. Overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase, it may seem pricey but I guarantee you $180 is much better than a $250 ticket.
