I have had many different radar detectors ranging from the cheapest to the most expensive (V1). This is the best for the money, I also highly recommend to subscribe to escort live makes a huge difference.

Bought this as a replacement for an older one I had, and I'm very happy! Works right out of the box, and the autoscan makes it literately just plug and play. The device speaks out which band it is detecting which is helpful, and the warning tones it makes automatically decreases in volume so that it doesn't annoy you. Haven't had any false alarms just yet and detects at a reasonable distance. Overall great and effective device!

My husband travels all the time and finally talked me into buying him a radar detector. I did a little research and picked this gem. We went to Best Buy picked it up and my husband went right out and put it in his truck. I usually have to set up electronics for my husband but this was so easy he had it working in no time. He has not had one problem with the unit and said it's already saved him from tickets.

I was really torn between the Beltronic and Passport. But when the Beltronic went on sale, I decided to move forward with that model. And I was not dissapointed! The range was more than I expected with very few false alarms. A couple of times I did believe the alarm was false, until a mile down the road I would see police shooting radar. Only complaint so far is the look of the detector. It does not look as sleek as the Passport, but for $200 less, I can cope.Overall great product!

The detector reads pretty accurate and has a nice range does have some false alarms but it does it’s job

This model works great even at long distances; it sounded-off with its KA warning. The electric signature was approximately five miles away when it first started it warning 'cherp'. At first I thought it was crazy, however, the cherp got louder and louder. The cars ahead heading my way where way off in the Nevada distance (approximately five miles away) and sure enough there it was... Thanks Beltronics your stuff works great!

It's my third Beltronics radar detector. Just completed a 540 mile trip and it saved me 4 separate times. Range is very good! False alarms very low.If you make a living on the open road you need this product.

I purchased this radar detector prior to a 2,000+ mile round trip by car from Texas to Ohio and back. I was quite satisfied with the range at which it picked up signals. I did get a ticket on the way home, but that was only because I had forgotten to plug it in and use it! One thing that applies to all laser detectors - you can't really beat laser guns - they can pretty much instantaneously measure your speed. If you see the "laser" indication, you've probably already been clocked. Best to hope that they weren't aimed at you, and just happened to briefly trigger your detector.

Nice little item. Repetitive sound (alarm) automatically goes down so as not to be annoying. Many different alarms (K-band, X-band, L-band), though not always sure what they mean at the time they're going off. I haven't heard all the alerts. When radar is detected, you get a warning sound, then you are told the type of radar (K-band, etc.), and then you get more alarm (noise). It's good at detecting radar from quite a distance.

This is my second radar/laser Beltronics V10 detector and I love it. It detects radar from a far distance with a very low false alarms. Very easy mount, I definitely recommend it.

I bought this for my son and he really likes it. easy to use and nice appearance. good price. Works really good gives enough warning so you can slow down and avoid a ticket. well worth the money!!!!

This detector is the best in its class for the money. At the $250 price range there is not a better one. Has the same sensor used in the higher end detectors like the pro300 for hundreds of dollars less. The range on this detector is more than anyone really needs and by paying more money on a higher end detector is just a waiste because u are paying for features you really don't need. Hands down as a former Valentine owner this detector gets the job done plus some.

Has saved me many times from getting a ticket, only down draw is that it also reacts to the newer vehicles with the autonomous braking sensors, but overall a good unit for the price

This radar detector doesn't miss anything. So far it's saved my record a dozen times. It is also the easiest to use.

This is a great Best Buy version of Beltronics radar detector that is comparable to Escort Passport 8500 X50 and Beltronics Pro 300 at a much lower cost. Not much of false alarm in city driving, and it's quite accurate on highway to detect Ka Band more than a mile away. I don't drive fast but this is a reliable alarm to alert me of any speed traps on the road. I like it so much and bought 3 of them for each of my cars a year ago, and all 3 are still working flawlessly. Sadly, Beltronics has discontinued this model. If you can still find one in the inventory somewhere, I'd highly recommend it.

I had the Beltronics v8 radar detector and decided to upgrade. To be honest I dont se much of a difference in this detector which isnt a bad or a food thing. Its operability is pretty much the same. Still a reliable product. Dexent detection with no real issues to report. Be advised...If police arent "actively scanning" the detector wont notice them. Ive gotten out of some tickets with these products and have no complaints

Pickup distance is great. Great buy for the money. The only thing I dont like is there is no strength signal.

Great almost everywhere I go! Sometimes it doesn't read all the radars but most of the time it saves me! I would definitely recommend!

we took it to a long trip to Reno, NV. It did save us from at least two sure tickets.
