• Yes, thunderbolt to HDMI .... do a profile on the monitor using apple DISPLAY function ... save, then select it.

• I am a pc user, but I know someone who has a Macbook Pro 2013 model. He used a mini displayport cable. He set the res to 3008 x 1692. The Mac OS X scaling worked great! He loves it and he was the one who inspired me to get this really great and "not too expensive" 4k monitor.
