• It worked for me between an old Dell monitor and my HP Envy laptop and should work as long as your laptop has the HDMI port. The images on the monitor are significantly less clear than on the laptop screen, but in most cases the size on the monitor overcomes the clarity issue.

• I use this cable with an old Dell monitor and an HP desktop using Windows 10 without any issues. I would imagine it should work with a laptop as well.
