• I just purchased this adapter to use with my docking station that hooked up to a USB-c and plugged it into my older laptop with a USB and it does not work! I am retuning it to Best Buy!

• No. This is a low-powered adapter. It's good for 3 amps of power tranfer (15 watts), but only runs at USB 2.0 speeds. Forget video.

• The adapter would work yes. Idk about a type c-cable with video capability but as far as the adapter goes yes it would work.
