It should be offered when you pay online. If it isn’t they should let you add it at the store. If they don’t just return it and immediately rebuy it with the warranty.

I can certainly understand you wanting to know your options to have additional protection on the new AirPods. I’ve actually sent a pair through the washing machine, so that would have definitely come in handy for me at that time! The AirPods are one of the few items in our assortment that would not qualify for Geek Squad Protection. The good news is they come with a one-year limited warranty with Apple, which will help in the unlikely event you run into any defects they may cover. Hopefully, that won’t be anything you have to deal with! Please let us know if you have additional questions in the future.
