• There is a cover on the back you remove and it takes two AAA batteries.

• It takes two AAA batteries. The battery compartment is on the back left-hand side of the monitor. There's a raised bump on the cover that you can use to pop it off with your finger nail. Lay the batteries in the compartment with the negative terminals against the springs. Replace the cover.

• A small compartment in the back of the device near the top is removable. It uses two AAA batteries which my machine had installed when I got it, as well as another set of AAA batteries

• Underneath the monitor itself, where it attaches to the wristband, there's a cover you can pop open to replace the AAA batteries.

• Just below the silver sticker on the bottom of the unit is the battery door. Just pull down on that 'lip' and the battery door will pop off and open.
