• I would not recommend this product for stairs,, but for a multi floor and furniture vacuum this is my choice.

• Consider the next model up in this line. Same basic vacuum but the base is removable which makes it much easier, and lighter, to handle as you go up the stairs.

• Depends on the depth of your stairs and if you have long or short hair carpet. The suction is not good.
