• Yes. It can be used on area rugs and/or regular carpeted areas. I found it easier on carpet because you don't have to worry about it moving like an area rug.

• Yes it did a very well job over at my sister's apartment I was satisfied with the carpet just make sure you have the carpet brush.

• No, it’s not designed for floor carpet. It’s mainly for sealed hard flooring. It’s not a dry vacuum or a carpet cleaner.

• No, wall to wall carpeting is to be dry vacuumed or carpet cleaned by one made strictly for that. The Cross Wave is ONLY for HARD surfaces and area rugs, not carpeting. These are two different things.
