Can this be used as just a vacuum on carpet? null

I have not used it as vacuum on carpet. I would guess it would work but not as good as a regular vacuum. For hard wood or laminate it is perfect.

Yes but it isn't good on thick carpets. Works great on low pile and area rugs

I wouldn't really recommend it. In the same sense it sucks water up pretty well so if you used it with water only it could be successful possibly. I've only used on area rugs though.

The CrossWave can be used for dry vacuuming only on hard floors and rugs.
