• ohhh yeah. Just be careful and use the correct setting. The steam alone is good to break particles up and loosen them. That same steam is also capable of lifting the thing paint say ... on your dials and what not. Ask me how I know LOL

• I used it to clean an oven. Although if the oven is very dirty I don't think it would do as well
