• If you use the right chemicals, I don't see why not. It has very good suction. Takes the smell out of carpet.

• Depend what is causing the smell. If its dirty and smells like dog (or animal of choice) yes. If it smell like fabric and foam from being new, then no.

• Hi Wiggs - yes this cleaner can definitely remove bad odors from fabric and upholstery. Try it with our BISSELL Spot and Stain Febreze formula if the smell is especially bad.
