As I understand, also you can get almost as cheap a price directly from Bitdefender as you can get here, but it comes with a catch - you must sign up for auto-renewal with them. That would mean paying retail price (currently $79.99) in subsequent years. I saw no catches to buying Bitdefender from Best Buy, so I just did that. I don't recommend getting an auto-renewed subscription. It has always worked for me to purchase security software one year at a time from retailers (sometimes switching between programs based on the latest reviews and prices).

BitDefender has widely known "pop-up" issues, very frequent on-screen notifications which are incredibly annoying and distracting. Search Google for "BitDefender problems" etc. You will find MANY negative reviews, along with horrible customer service. I went through it. This is a truly bad product. I can recommend, from previous and current (after cancelling BitDefender) "Webroot Internet Security Plus + Antivirus". That works very well, always in the background.
