• closer to 3 or 3 & 1/2. I stand up straight and have no problem and I am about 5' 10"!

• I bought the gift for my 75 year old mother who is 5 foot 7 she absolutely loves the vacuum she has not complained about the height of it and it works better than all the other ones that she has tried I'm sure if she had a problem with the height and hunching over she would have said something to me it was a great Buy
