- Answer Yes it weighs 20 pounds. This thing is super heavy. I can hardly turn over when it’s on me but that’s part of how it works. I would not recommend this weight of blanket for anyone under 200 pounds. The recommended weight for one of these blankets is 8-15% of your body weight. Hope this helps
