• A:Answer I use Energizer batteries. However, if there is frequent activity a stronger battery won’t make a difference. I was having “high activity” notices due to birds or the roaming cats in the neighborhood. I adjusted the range area of what the camera see’s and deactivate the system when I’m home to prevent using up the batteries too fast. Very happy with my purchase.

• A:Answer To give our customers the greatest convenience, under standard use, all Blink battery-powered cameras last up to two years on 2 lithium batteries. If you are experiencing high usage on any of your cameras due to the amount of motion clips recorded and Live View used, this will cause the batteries to deplete more quickly than expected.

• A:Answer Yes there is motion detection to start recording hence the infrared comment in my review (red light can be seen by some people). There is also a blue light that shows when the camera is recording but it can be toggled off in the settings of each camera.

Q: QuestionI’m looking at the blink cameras. I will however have several cameras on different wifi networks. Do I need a sync module for each location? Also can the blink app handle all those cameras on different wifi networks in one package?

• A:Answer You will need multiple sync modules to use the cameras at each location. Because the cameras has to be in range of the sync for them to be used. In the app you’re allowed to have multiple sync modules linked & are able to name each one. So your able to look at them at anytime. But I would consider the subscription as your will need to have a subscription for each sync module to record & receive alerts from the apps. Or You could use a usb drive but you won’t get the alerts to your phone. You will have to plug it into a pc or laptop to view the recordings each time. These cameras do not record 24/7! They just record the alerts.

• A:Answer Yes it comes with the sync module 2. After 30 days you won’t be able to save recordings unless you substitute a blink plan. To avoid paying a monthly subscription to see your recordings simply purchase the blink thumb drive for around $15
