No, you don't need to purchase a chime separately with the Blink Video Doorbell System! You have multiple chime options:
Included Options:
    App notifications - You'll always get alerts on your phone when someone presses the doorbell
    Wired setup - If you connect it to your existing doorbell wiring, it will sound through your home's existing chime
Alternative Chime Options:
    Blink Mini 2 camera (sold separately) can act as an indoor plug-in chime
    Alexa-enabled devices can announce doorbell presses and show live video
The system comes with everything you need: the doorbell, Sync Module Core, batteries, and mounting hardware. Most customers find the app notifications sufficient, but wiring it to your existing doorbell is the most seamless option if you want traditional chimes throughout your home.
