“If I install the camera inside my home with the camera facing a window of my front porch will the motion detector still pickup movement on the porch outside if the camera is indoors on the other side of the window”

The Blink cameras cannot be used to face out a window. Blink’s PIR sensor cannot detect motion through glass, so a Blink or Blink XT camera positioned behind a window will not create clips when armed. However, it can be faced out a window, or through glass, for use with Live View.

So no lights to reflect on the window. As far as motion detection it works great even set on low any movement in or near my yard it picks up notifies me and records.
