“The description says it comes with 2 batteries. Are the batteries easily changed out? Also, can the battery be charged externally or only charged if it is a camera? And what is the realistic typical life of the battery per charge?”

you just replace the batteries with new lithium batteries but if you use rechargeable batteries i guess that would be better. i haven't had to replace batteries yet but i have only had my cameras installed for about 5 months.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Blink cameras are shipped with two non-rechargeable AA 1.5v Lithium batteries and they’re easy to replace when the time comes. Simply slide open the battery compartment, take out the old batteries, and insert the new set. The batteries that are shipped with the Blink cameras are not rechargeable and we do not recommend using rechargeable batteries as they may cause issues with the cameras. Blink camera batteries should be replaced by Energizer Ultimate 1.5v Lithium AA batteries or the equivalent.
