Don't pry it open! It has a flex strip attached to the front and back. There should be a tool in your box that resemble's a straight line. Push it in the hole besides the card placement fixture, and the fixture will pop out.

You use the little key they give you. If you don’t have that you can use a sewing needle or pin. You find the space for the sim card on the side of the phone. There’ll be a tiny hole. Insert the key or pin into that hole and press it in. It will eject the tray a bit and you slide it out, lay the SIM card I it (only fits one way) and reinsert it. Hope that helps.
