• Hi there! The unit itself only takes one filter at a time. You'll want to replace the unit after 6 months of total use. The unit comes with a timer that'll keep track of how long the unit has been on it total. Once it's been on for a cumulative six months, that's when you'll see a light on the timer telling you that it's time to change the filter.
