“Does this filter include the carbon filter for cigarette smoke? I thought it was purchased separately. Thank you”

• The carbon filter is built into the filter and is purchased as one unit. The air passes through an outside initial filter {included in initial purchase but sold separately from the inner Hepa/carbon filter} then through the frame of the unit where it reaches the hepa filter then passes through the carbon filter.
